Head gasket blew and want to change the head...?

I own a 86 Dodge Power Ram 50 (mitsubishi truck) and blew the head gasket. The head has a hairline crack thus is gone. Im trying to look for a new head. If I find one, can I just deck the head and install it on my old block?? its a 2.6 motor..Head gasket blew and want to change the head...?AS long as it is a direct replacement meaning all passages line up and accessory holes are there then yes that should be fine. Be sure the block is straight too. That and a new gasket and you should be on your way.
