What is the cylinder head head bolt torque specifications on a 1992 Volvo 940 turbo?

I am changing my head gasket and i need to know the cylinder head bold torque either in (Nm) or whatever.

The car is the 1992 Volvo 940 turbo sedan with the 2.3L engine.

Please help me if you can...and please don't answer if yo don't know i don't need guesses.What is the cylinder head head bolt torque specifications on a 1992 Volvo 940 turbo?the torque setting for your volvo are



20 Nm

60 Nm

plus 90 degrees



Bolts should be replaced if centre section shows signs of Extension

do not re-use more than 5 times if in doubt fit new ones

THE SEQUENCE OF THE BOLTS ARE STARTING FROM THE BACK LEFT AS YOU LOOK AT THE ENGINE 9 ,5 , 1 , 3 , 7 , ON THE RIGHT YOU HAVE FROM THE BACK AGAIN 10 ,6 , 2 , 4 , 8, DO A DIAGRAMM AND YOU HAVE THE WRIGHT SEQUENCE

Stage 1 : Tighten 20 NM

Stage 2 : Tighten 60 NM

Stage 3 : Tighten 90 degrees

be sure to have tdc on #1 cyl and the cam the same.as this is a interference motor.start int the center head bolts and work your way around the head in a clockwise order.1st 14lbs.second tightening 43lbs then third angle tighten to 90 degrees.
