Will a helicoil work in the aluminum block for the head ?

i have a older cadillac and while changing the head gasket out a couple of the head bolts stripped out . will a helicoil work for this and should i use lock tight for the helicoil ?! oh yea its a aluminum block ! can someone help out %26gt;?Will a helicoil work in the aluminum block for the head ?Yes, a Helicoil should work just fine. I believe that Lock Tite should be used (its been several years since I've used one) but there should be full instructions with the Helicoil kit.

Yes a helicoil will work be sure to follow the manufacture instructions to the %26quot;T%26quot;. Here's the other thing on that engine the head gasket fix never works for a long time. Cadie had a big problem with distortion on this engine. If it were me i would fix it and dump it on a new car or sell it out right. Once this engine gets hot its never right again.
