2ltr neon auto. head gasket changed now drinks 2 much petrol?

hi, i am baffled with this car. am not a full mechanic but am very capable. i helped my mate change the head gasket and most if not all other gaskets too, cleaned spark plugs, changed oil pump, water pump, under drive pulley with all new belts including timing belt+pullies apart from the tensioner, recently changed front suspension to KYB-GR2 and back getting done next weekend. the coolant is leaking out from below maybe a crack or seal but have not fixed that yet..also the thermostat is still out coz there's still some gundge from b4 in the system but will get installed when fully cleaned the radiator..



Ok i am getting 27 miles from 10 litres of 95/97 ron oil and b4 the gsket it was 45 miles from 10 litres of oil

TYRE PRESSURE IS CORRECT



my only thought is maybe the thermostat coz i could do 100 miles and you can still sit on the engine bay butt naked lol and the sensor works coz localy it takes 45 mins to heat up or needle rise a little2ltr neon auto. head gasket changed now drinks 2 much petrol?1st off, without proper diagnostics you cannot get a proper repair... with that being said...



2nd, you and your friend changed the head gasket together? Do you smell gas when driving? Ya'll probably did a good job on the head gasket but forgot to re-seat the fuel rail properly. It sounds like that is going to be your solution. Also check your fuel lines and fuel pressure regulator for leaks.



3rd, Your coolant leak sounds more like a freeze plug leaking than a cracked block/head or gasket.

Check the oxygen sensor, the plug socket could be loose.
