Will a bad head gasket change cause oil and handbrake light to flicker?

my oil and handbrake and stop light flickers after driving for a while in traffic etc. it only flickers when im slowing down and when the car has stopped e.g in traffic but the lights stop flickering as soon as i move of or rev the engine a little. this has been happening for two weeks and i realized this after having my head gasket, timing belt and oil changed.

could it be anything to do with the type of work my mechanic did to the car or maybe he done something wrong. will any of these symptoms occure.

i changed the oil switch and the problem is still there.

i asked my friend to rev the engine whist i look in through the engine lid and i can see oil being pumped. just checking oil pump is pumping.

pleaseeee help or help me find out whats wrong.

if it was the oil pump would'nt it of already broken my engine because I've been driving it like this for 2 weeks minimumWill a bad head gasket change cause oil and handbrake light to flicker? It sounds like a poor ground - I say that because these lights aren't really related except perhaps through a common ground circuit.

hi

i would check the electrical connections, they could be loose, also check fuses are tight

when was the last tiem you had your brakes checked, you can get kwik fit to check them,

if your brake drum is worn out, it owuld flash, the oil could just be the head gasket settling down.

but really takeit back to the garage where oyu had the work and get them to fix it for free

good luck

if the gaskets bad meaning like ripped or crimpled that can cause an oil leak from the head unit. you definitley want to get that fixed asap because if the oil leak theres not gonna be any lube for the engine and that will cause you more problems....... I wouldnt drive that for very long distances or if you have to maybe a couple min if your lucky.
Is your idle low? I麓d say alternator or if applicable: relay to this. What kind of a car is it?
Could be that while working on the engine the electrical connections were disconnected and not put back properly - if they all flicker at the same time!

If they flicker seperately you most likely have an enine oil pressure problem and either low brake fluid or a brake pad wear indicatior telling you a pad is nearly worn out.
