What are the tools needed to change the head gasket on a diesel Mercedes 300 SD?

I know there are some special tools I'll need and will be away from my garage, so I want to be prepared. What are the tools needed to change the head gasket on a diesel Mercedes 300 SD?depending on year in addition to normal hand tools you will need spline and allen sockets a small slide hammer( [to remove chain guide pins ] i have used a 6/100 bolt and washers and an old 1/4 drive socket {modified} for this) and a special bolt to lock chain to inj pump. this job may be more than you want to attempt on your own. you should study a manual before even getting started good luck and don't forget the inverted allen bolts around the timing chain area.

note ; the valve adjustment wrenches mentioned below are really nice and make short work of this part of the job, as opposed to 2- 14mm [one real short] wrenches clearance is .013 exhaust and .004 intake
